I photographed the making of the music video "I'm not dead" by HoneyPoney. Beautiful sensual imagery, complicated mind, amazing scenery for this electro live duo. Great music. Have a listen and be surprised! I'm nothing, I know now, but I made up myself with a piece of everything An escape to somewhere else Wonder round the market Another joint or go to sleep An ideal world without instinct I've got to [...]

THE PORT AUTHORITY: Zaha Hadid it again!

In 2016 Antwerp's skyline changed with the building of the Port House by world renown Zaha Hadid Architects. This architectural jewel brings together the past and the future: a port with a rich history that is ready to face the future ahead. You could also say a space ship landed on a 16th century Hanseatic House (did i say that out loud?)   The new building symbolises the dynamic, ambitious and innovative nature of the Port of Antwerp. My Pantone 100 challenge

So here is what i did: i picked flowers from the beautiful hydrangea bush in my garden and matched them with Pantone postcards (this is where i got mine). To my surprise i found as many as 12 matching colours in one bush! Here's the thing i've been saying for years: Pretty things make happy people! I mean as in seeing pretty things, not owning or buying of things. Colours do absolutely make me happy (more proof here). Some [...]

Weekends are for family. We usually go swimming on Sundays followed by a brunch in the city or meet up with some friends in the park or for early dinner. It has been ages since we visited an exhibition. Probably because we don't want all the arguments from the kids before going. But also because i had a bit of an overdose during my Art Degree. Not an overdose of the eye-pleasing things to see, but of all the [...]

Last weekend i had the opportunity to take behind the scenes photos of actors getting ready for the premiere of their play. The particularity: the actors were students of Atheneum Brussel. Seventeen kids between twelve and seventeen years old worked a few months under the guidance of  Veronique Vander Gucht (direction, choreography, text and concept). They gathered and shared their thoughts about society, generally speaking and their society more specifically. All this hard work resulted in a play : DA. Same [...]

Every year in spring, the Royal Greenhouses of Laeken are open to the public. I know i went as a kid, but i only remember the party we had at home afterwards with our friends and the Eurovision on tv... I had not been in thirty years and couldn’t remember what it looked like or what to expect, but it sounded like a good photographic place. I’m always on the lookout for a photogenic environment. Income is 2,5€, so [...]

The term minimalism is also used to describe a trend in design and architecture where in the subject is reduced to its necessary elements. Minimalist design has been highly influenced by Japanese traditional design and architecture. In addition, the work of De Stijl artists is a major source of reference for this kind of work.
